Job Description
The Project Lead role involves developing integrated project plans, managing scope and changes, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The position requires effective communication with clients, planning and leading group meetings, utilizing project management software, and creating documentation for processes and procedures. Responsibilities include providing training, support, and fostering collaboration with account managers. Key requirements are 2-3 years of project management experience, preferably in operations and logistics, and a proven ability to manage full-cycle projects, including quality assurance tracking. This is a client facing role with frequent communication internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Develop integrated project plans for small projects and assignments.
- Manages project scope and requirement changes.
- Effectively delivers projects on time and on budget.
- Communicates directly with clients to provide status updates.
- Communicate with clients and team members to establish exact needs for relevant projects.
- Utilizes various types of project management software.
- Plans and leads group meetings in person or virtually.
- Develop processes, procedures, system/application utilization.
- Creates documentation in support of procedures.
- Provides training and support for project coordinators and other team members.
- Collaborate closely with account managers to maintain synergy and foster trust.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Fostering collaboration with sales, logistics, operations, support desks and other stakeholders.
- Manage issue escalations and follow through to resolution.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in project management, preferably in operations and logistics.
- Proven track record of successfully managing full-cycle projects including quality assurance tracking.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with frequent video conference calls and other client communications with screen on.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.[DS1]
- 3+ Years experience in project management as a leader of projects.
- Familiarity with ConnectWise, ServiceNow and Smartsheet.
