Job Description:

Analytical Mechanics Associates, Inc., (AMA) seeking to hire an experienced Wind Tunnel Model Design Engineer to join the wind tunnel model design group at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) in Hampton, Virginia. The individual selected for this position will join AMA's team supporting the Research, Science and Engineering (RSES) contract. The wind tunnel design group utilizes PTC CREO 3D modeling software, so experience with CREO is a plus, but not a requirement.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with wind tunnel model design, mechanical mechanism design, and wind tunnel model stress analysis using hand calculations.

This is a Part-Time position. The hourly rate will range from $45-$65 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Education and Qualifications:

•    B.S. In Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

•    Minimum of 15 years of experience specifically in wind tunnel design and analysis.

•    Experience with ProE/Creo software or similar 3D modeling software.

Desired Qualifications:

•    Experience in structural design

•    Experience with simple FEA modeling (CREO or other Finite Element Analysis software).

•    Experience with CREO
