This designated role is responsible for leading the team on the ground from a technicality perspective. This candidate will be leading the efforts for the team on how things should be installed, what expectations need to be met, and to manage consistency across the deployment. They will act as the engineer's right-hand and be the go-to for troubleshooting/basic configuration. This individual will ultimately be responsible for project documentation (pre/post), quality control of assets being installed, and coordinate the efforts on the ground. This individual will help ensure delivery of service to our customers is the main priority from a pre and post implementation standpoint. This candidate will work with the ENG I/II technicians and provide feedback to Supervisor I-III / Area Supervisors on how these individuals are performing. This will help ensure the pool of ENG I-II are meeting all standards of the Netsync delivery process.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, support, monitor, test, optimize, and troubleshoot problems pertaining to deployment, integration, and implementation of new hardware and software in moderate-to-complex client network environments with guidance, review, and QA from Senior Lead Consultants and Managerial staff.
- Be a team leader, working alongside a Network Services Supervisor, implementing simple to complex network solutions for enterprise sized clients.
- Disseminate information to your team (pre/post deployment) in a timely and efficient manner.
- Create internal and client facing status updates, issue logs, action items, notes, and documentation in a timely and effective manner.
Coordinate technician responsibilities in for each deployment based on necessity.
- Staging of primary and secondary networking equipment during deployments.
- Be effective at internal and external issue resolution (i.e.: injury reporting, employee conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, etc.).
- Demonstrate continued growth and independence.
- Conduct passive, active, and APoS wireless surveys.
- Create and implement migration strategies, implementation plans, risk mitigation plans, test plans, and pre/post deployment method of procedures for your team to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Support network standards, processes and security at client sites.
- Verification of technician installation standards and meeting of client requirements for installed devices.
- Maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with clients; work jointly through consultants and managerial staff or directly with the client.
- Assist with providing an effective implementation of all client hardware/software while working in conjunction with Senior or Junior Consultants.
- Verification and compliance with scope of work; work with engineering prior to/during/after installation to troubleshoot any issues with installed or existing devices under requirements of SOW.
- Participate in project meetings and design discussions.
- Post deployment validation photos of newly installed and/or replaced equipment and legacy devices.
- Maintain and update project documentation for various clients.
- Review the design and implementation plans for the client, ensure understanding of the business needs and how they map to the solution, and provide feedback to Senior Field Services Lead, PMO, and Senior Lead Consultants based on actual field experience.
- Participate in the delivery of projects on time and within budget

Requirements of Job
Effective Communication: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and supervisors.
Follow Directions: Ability to take direction from on-site supervisors/leads and act appropriately.
Punctuality: Must be consistently on-time for work. If unable to attend, must notify the designated supervisor at least one hour in advance.
Dress Code: Must wear pants and a Netsync shirt at all times during installations.
Driver's License: Must possess a valid, non-expired driver's license.
Background and Drug Screening: Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
Team Player: Must be able to work collaboratively with teammates in a professional manner.
Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Flexible Hours: Must be able to work flexible hours, including:
4 PM - 12 AM
8 AM - 5 PM
Work Hours: This job may involve long working hours with minimal breaks.
Availability: After device cutover, day-1 support may be required, and the individual must be available and on standby for these engagements.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to squat, bend, and reach without limitations.
Documentation Comprehension: Must be able to understand and follow deployment documentation as a guide for installations.
Commute: Must be able to drive at least up to 4-5 hour to job sites daily.
Work Environment: Must be able to work in hot environments and endure the associated conditions.
Skills and Experience
IT Experience Required
- Racking and Stacking: Experience with the racking, stacking, and powering of switch devices.
- Port Migration: Ability to perform port migration from old devices to newly installed switches.
- Perform installation of internal and external Access Points (APs).
- Perform installation of data center appliances, including all associated cabling and labeling.
- Phone Installation: Proficient in installing end-user phone devices across various campus settings, including desks, offices, furniture, and other designated locations.
- Cisco Knowledge: Familiarity with Cisco platforms, including device operation and functionality.
- Cable Management: Proficient in managing power, data stacking, and ethernet cabling.
- Installation: Capable of racking and powering UPS devices, including lifting and mounting equipment weighing 50-70 lbs independently.
- Cabling: Skilled in connecting new ethernet cables from UPS to newly installed switches and documenting switch and port numbers.
- Height Comfort: Comfortable working on ladders daily to install Access Point devices 6-15 feet high.
- Safety and Security: Ability to install devices safely and securely, adhering to Netsync installation documentation.
- Project Requirements: In Louisiana, this will be a hospital cutover project, and we are seeking individuals with experience and understanding of hospital network environments. Netsync will be replacing network switches across all associated hospital clinics and buildings.
Cabling Infrastructure (Preferred but not required)
- Cable Management: Proficient in cable management techniques.
- Troubleshooting: Able to tone out cables, troubleshoot ports, and restore appropriate devices online.
- Fiber Uplinks: Experience in troubleshooting fiber uplinks and testing/validating connectivity for newly installed devices.
- Professional Direction: Ability to follow directions professionally and ensure devices are fully operational before leaving the site.
Tools for Efficiency
- Installation Role: As this is an installation job, tools are required for conducting work on customer sites.
- Essential Tools: Team members should have at a minimum, Phillips screwdrivers, snips, etc.
- Optional Tools: While not required, cordless drills can enhance efficiency during installations.
Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Educational Requirements
- Experience in healthcare or hospital environments.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Project+, or equivalent.
- OSHA 10/30 or other relevant safety certifications.
- Familiarity with E-Rate-funded projects and/or large-scale K-12 deployments.
- Experience working in a Project Coordinator or Assistant PM capacity is a plus.
- 3-5+ years of experience in network infrastructure installation and technician team oversight.
- Demonstrated experience supervising field teams on the ground during network deployments.
- Strong documentation skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Comfortable performing assessments and walk-throughs in MDF/IDF network environments.
- Proven ability to lead structured cabling, switch, AP, and voice deployments with minimal oversight.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Must be able to commute to Baton Rouge or New Orleans and be available for local travel across job sites.
