JOB SUMMARY:

The System Test Team conducts the planning and analysis of all MDS ground tests and flight tests. Ground test types include: pairwise tests, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI), Integrated Ground Test (GTI), Distributed Ground Test (GTD), cyber tests, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), and pre-flight test HWIL efforts. Flight tests are conducted with pre-determined sensors and shooters. International events are comprised of various ground tests and flight tests.

LOCATION: Full Time/On-Site at Schriever SFB Colorado Springs, CO

SALARY: $100,000 - $122,000

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The System Test SME is responsible for the planning of all assigned test events, with emphasis on developing and implementing the test artifacts required for each event:

  • Test objectives
  • Architectures
  • Data Item Descriptions
  • Defense Designs
  • Sensor Resource Management (SRM) settings
  • Operational Tasking Data Link (OPTASKLINK), Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) configuration and Forwarding Tables, CDS, TDACS, TRAUT TDACS, Comms Connectivity Matrices, Event Configuration Baseline (ECB)  
  • System Adjustable Parameters (SAPs)/Site-Specific Parameters (SSPs)
  • BDR and PR applicability
  • Certification Data Packages

The position also provides the following support:

  • Support planning phase reviews and meetings
  • Support customer boards and meetings
  • Support Data Management
  • Interface with developers
  • Support government personnel during event execution phases when requested
  • Support anomaly resolution and troubleshooting
  • Support analysis group
  • Support Failure Review Boards (FRBs)

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • At least 1 year prior experience on the program in any capacity
  • Self-starter with good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with the government customer as well as personnel internal and external to the program
  • Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS) including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks
  • Prior integration and test experience with the program

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or related field from an accredited college, or equivalent experience

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5+

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
