Job Description
This role will work with the Manager of Reporting and Technical Accounting closely to prepare the Company's external financial reporting documents and supporting other accounting operation activities.
What does a great Senior Accountant of Reporting and Technical Accounting do?
This role is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Collaborate with various team members on different projects and needs to foster a productive work environment. How you will provide meaningful contributions:
- Partner and collaborate with the team on the coordination and preparation of all external and internal financial reports on an annual and quarterly basis.
- Lead conversations with Accounting, Finance, and Legal to collect information and input for the consolidated financial statements and disclosures. Prepare and maintain the consolidated financial operating model; complete disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires.
- Prepare journal entries for equity accounts and stock-based compensation.
- Prepare month-end close and perform financial statement reviews.
- Develop and maintain a quarterly reporting timetable and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones.
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit.
- Assist with the establishment, documentation, and maintenance of company accounting policies.
- Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules deliberated by the SEC, US GAAP, PCAOB, or other regulatory bodies, and report nuances or updates to ensure compliance.
- Conduct research on technical accounting matters and provide updates that may impact the accounting environment.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or actively working toward licensure
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Solid understanding of the financial statement consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation
- Advanced Excel skills
- Exceptional planning and organizational abilities
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Results-driven with a proactive approach and ownership mindset
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Experience with public accounting firm or a publicly traded company is preferred
- Experience with NetSuite and Workiva is preferred
- Advanced technical accounting knowledge in leases and equity is a plus.
- Experience with SaaS company, IPO, business combination is a plus.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant's geographic location. Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000.
