Job Description

As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.

The successful Resident Services Coordinator II will facilitate and implement core programs as delegated by the program model. Collect and record data to measure program outcomes. Identify human and community service needs of residents. Develop strategies to link residents with needed services, including assistance in overcoming various barriers that might impede access to services. Build community partnerships that bring services and notice to the property; ambassador/advocate of the property, seeking volunteering, selling the brand. When other services are not available, may deliver direct services. Actively participate with other staff working toward resident stability.

Family Tree Apartments is an affordable housing apartment community for families in Everett, and Woodlake Manor provides housing for senior citizens in Snohomish. This role will be based out of both properties.

Pay: $25-28/hour DOE

Duties:

  • Facilitate and implement core programs as delegated by the program model, with a focus on youth and senior engagement, community building, and resident empowerment
  • Independently design, plan, and lead diverse programming including: Financial literacy education, lease and tenancy rights education, health and wellness activities
  • Provide food pantry coordination and food security support
  • Programs that increase residents' access to community services and resources
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify and respond to specific resident needs, including youth and seniors
  • Collect and record program data accurately and on time to measure impact and outcomes
  • Develop and sustain partnerships with local organizations to enhance service offerings
  • Serve as a property ambassador, advocate, and liaison with the broader community
  • Provide direct services when necessary, especially when external resources are unavailable
  • Collaborate with staff to support overall resident stability and community cohesion
  • Ensure compliance with all reporting and documentation requirements for funders and regulatory bodies
  • Evaluate program effectiveness regularly and make data-informed improvements
  • Foster resident leadership and engagement through volunteer opportunities and participatory programming
  • Participate in professional development and collaborative efforts to enhance service delivery
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow appropriate procedures for information sharing

Minimum Qualifications of Position

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience in community development, social services, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications of Position

  • Two (2) years experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
  • Two (2) years working with senior and developmentally disabled populations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience conducting community assessments, applying the principles of conflict management, and organizing community groups, events, or programs.
  • Experience supervising staff.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Work collaboratively with others in a team environment, respecting the perspectives and contributions of others.
  • Demonstrate a high level of verbal, writing, and listening skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Maintain confidentiality and to obtain appropriate release of information as necessary.
  • Able to work with people with mental health, disability, substance abuse, legal, and financial issues.
