$24.08 - $32.51
Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience
Shift: Day Shift length: 8
Days off: Fixed If fixed, days off: Saturday & Sunday
Hours per pay period: 80
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Access Quality Trainer is responsible for the education and training of hospital Admissions and Registration staff. This position will coordinate training schedules and assist with the development of and reporting for quality measures and results. The Quality Trainer will use audit results to provide feedback for development, focusing on increasing future accuracy. The Quality Trainer will provide re-education as needed and on a continuing basis to all areas and staff based on audit results as well as during any ongoing operational workflow changes within the department or organization. It may be necessary for the Quality Trainer to occasionally work an evening or night shift to facilitate specific training needs within the department.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Two years in Patient Access in a hospital setting.
Desired:
- Prior experience as a trainer of various size groups.
- Prior experience with a hospital based HIS system
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must be familiar with medical terminology. Must demonstrated ability to use Windows based applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must possess good oral and written communication skills. Interacts effectively with other staff and other departments of the hospital to accomplish departmental functions. Works collaboratively with others towards improving organizational performance and supports goals and objectives of the organization.
