Job Description

This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.

Redfin is revolutionizing the $75 billion real estate industry. We use data, beautiful software, and innovative design to put customers first at every step in the home-buying and selling process. Get ready to dive headfirst into our award-winning website, mobile apps and data platforms, solving complex business problems in a highly visible, customer-centric way. If you value doing great work in a collaborative environment, join our team!

The TREX team at Redfin helps drive user growth and retention by building tools that let teams experiment, test, and discover what resonates with users. We own and maintain REF, Redfin's A/B testing framework, which powers experimentation across the company. We also support content orchestration tools that let non-engineers build and test site and app experiences, along with segmentation tools that help teams tailor user journeys based on behavior and attributes. Our work reduces engineering overhead, increases experimentation velocity, and helps teams learn what works-faster.

The Role

  • As a Senior Software Engineer on TREX, you'll play a key role in designing and scaling the platforms that power product experimentation and personalization at Redfin.

  • You'll lead technical efforts, mentor other engineers, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to enable rapid, data-driven decision-making across the company.

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and APIs to support experimentation and personalization.

  • Develop scalable, high-quality applications backed by relational and non-relational databases

  • Create and evolve internal tooling to improve platform reliability, observability, and developer experience.

  • Collaborate with product and analytics partners to shape experimentation strategies and priorities

  • Lead technical discussions, drive architectural decisions, and contribute to long-term platform direction.

About You

  • You are an experienced developer with at least 5+ years of experience building scalable systems or data platforms.

  • You have deep familiarity with our tech stack: Java, Python, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Airflow, Kubernetes, and AWS

  • You're curious and have proven experience designing and maintaining internal tools or platforms for other teams

  • You have strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally and mentor other engineers

  • You share a passion for enabling teams to move faster through experimentation, automation, and great infrastructure

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation packages with a salary, bonuses, and restricted stock grants

  • Generous benefits, including flexible paid vacation, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and fully paid family leave

  • A high-growth company, providing opportunities for continued professional development and growth

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable disclosure requirements.

Base Pay Range: $146,500.00 - 198,000.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include bonuses and equity.
