Job Description

As a Membership Specialist, you will play a vital role in growing and supporting the Lakewood Club community. This position is responsible for promoting and selling club memberships, coordinating member-related events, and ensuring outstanding service through every member interaction. You'll serve as a key point of contact for both prospective and current members, providing knowledgeable, professional, and friendly support in-person, over the phone, and through email.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Membership Sales & Outreach: Actively promote and sell memberships through written communication, phone calls, and in-person meetings under the direction of the Member Relations Manager. Maintain a strong understanding of club benefits to effectively attract new members.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing member golf and social events, contributing to a vibrant and engaged club atmosphere.
  • Member Communication: Coordinate regular communications and updates to members, ensuring timely delivery of news, events, and offerings.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate membership records and spreadsheets, and become proficient in POS and membership software systems.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to current and prospective members via phone, email, and in-person inquiries. Assist with account requests and questions related to Lakewood amenities.
  • Office Administration: Support the office with general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, organizing promotional items, and managing mail and emails.
  • Operational Support: Serve as a reliable liaison to hotel management in the absence of Lakewood leadership, ensuring continuity of operations.

Hourly Pay: Starting at $15.00

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training in sales, hospitality, or customer service; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
