Griffin Health is a nationally recognized, patient-centered healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional care and service to our community. At our Ivy Brook Imaging and Diagnostics Center in Shelton, we provide comprehensive diagnostic services in a comfortable, convenient setting.

We are currently seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join our dynamic team on a per diem basis.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant supports the daily operations of the Ivy Brook Imaging and Diagnostics Center. This multifaceted role includes:

  • Patient registration and front office operations

  • Managing outpatient schedules and insurance pre-certifications

  • Copay collection and data entry

  • Performing phlebotomy and EKGs

  • Providing clinical assistance to technical and physician staff

You will work closely with teams across MRI, CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, EKG, and Lab services within the Quarry Walk Imaging Center.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience:

  • 1-3 years of medical office experience

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Experience with copay collection

  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required; 2-4 years and phlebotomy certification preferred

  • 1-3 years of EKG experience required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Strong multitasking ability under pressure

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage interruptions

  • Capable of sustained focus for over 30 minutes

  • Strong coordination skills, both eye-hand and gross motor

  • Physically able to walk extensively throughout the facility
