Job Title: Marine Products Assistant

Pay Rate:      $20.65/hr – $31.02/hr (depending on experience)

Hours of Work:  Day Shift 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Location:      27402 72nd Avenue S Kent, WA 98032

Job Summary:

This position provides support to the Product Manager. Functions include assisting in the purchase of marine products, generating and reviewing inventory data reports, as well as assisting with customer bids, quotes, and transactions. This position requires self-motivation the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with the Product Manager.

Required Essential Job Skills/Experience:

1.  Computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office including proficiency with Excel.
2.  Must have courteous phone manners and good written communication skills.
3.  Must have good math skills.
4.  Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize work.

Required Essential Job Functions/Duties:

1.   Will analyze data reports, assess needs then initiate stock and pick-up item purchases of copper nickel marine fittings.
2.  Process sales orders, determine appropriate shop from which to get goods while maintaining satisfactory inventory.
3.   Obtain prices and delivery information for quoting purposes and prepare quotes when necessary.
4.   Check material availability and prices from outside vendors.
5.   Help prepare bids by compiling data such as cost, delivery, etc.
6.   Respond to customer requests for order information.
7.   Aid in expediting and keep current on order-delivery progress. 
8.   Assist with sales and buyers as needed.

Desirable Job Skills/Experience:

  1. College degree.
  2. Product knowledge of corrosion resistant materials.
  3. Previous experience in metals.
  4. Previous office experience.
