Job Description
NOTE: This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence at our Alexandria, VA location at least two days per week. As such, only candidates who reside within a reasonable commuting distance and are authorized to work in the United States will be considered.
Position Overview:
As the Key Account Manager, Trademarks you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of corporate and law firm clients across the Latin American region (excluding Brazil). You will drive growth through up-selling, cross-selling, and new business development activities aligned with Questel's SaaS and Services portfolio. Your role will require a consultative approach to support your clients in protecting and maximizing the value of their Intellectual Property.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of Questel's trademark clients and developing new business within the LATAM region (excluding Brazil)
- Maintain and grow client revenue through consultative sales practices and by maximizing Questel's share of client spend
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting activities (cold calling, email outreach, networking, etc.)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and key influencers within corporations and law firms
- Develop a deep understanding of the LATAM market landscape, key industries, and client challenges to position Questel's SaaS and Services portfolio effectively
- Support client onboarding and satisfaction by working closely with internal teams including SMEs, Operations, Help Desk, and Customer Success
- Educate clients on existing and new trademark and IP service offerings
- Assist in developing and delivering client proposals tailored to regional and industry-specific needs
- Ensure continuous client engagement and follow-through to deliver an exceptional client experience
- Prepare and execute Annual Account Revenue Growth Plans for assigned accounts
- Track and maintain client interactions, opportunities, and progress in the company CRM system
- Participate in conferences and exhibitions throughout the LATAM region
- Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to position Questel effectively and provide internal feedback
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to drive revenue growth and client success
- Work on special projects and other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a business-to-business account management environment, preferably in SaaS or Intellectual Property services. In addition, any combination of education, professional experience, and training provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level contacts
- Experience working with both SaaS and service-based offerings, ideally in the IP or legal tech sector
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Account and territory management skills with proven ability to grow and retain client relationships
- Ability to work independently in a remote, regionally distributed environment, with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness to support client engagement across Latin America
- Ability to interact with corporate and law firm clients, understand their IP needs, create tailored solutions, and grow revenue
- Self-motivated with a proactive, client-focused mindset
- Commitment to responsiveness and professionalism in managing client expectations and internal collaboration
- Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal)
