Medical Staff Coordinator And Professional Practice Quality Nurse

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Analysis:
• Collection and analyze data related to provider performance, including clinical outcomes, satisfaction, complaints and adherence to medical staff policies.
• Identify trends and patterns in provider performance data to highlight areas of excellence and potential areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports summarizing data findings for review by leadership and medical staff committees.
• Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) Management:
• Work with medical staff leadership to establish and revise quality indicators for monitoring and evaluating patient care.
• Manage the FPPE process for new privileges or when concerns arise about a provider's performance.
• Coordinate reviews and facilitate the completion of FPPE evaluations to assess provider competence and address any concerns.
• Manage the ongoing OPPE process to continuously monitor and evaluate provider performance, including preparing and analyzing OPPE reports.
• Performance Improvement:
• Identify outliers within provider performance and report to appropriate leadership, including medial staff leadership.
• Monitor action plans and track progress to ensure improvements are sustained.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with medical staff, nursing, and hospital administration to promote interdisciplinary collaboration on quality initiatives.
• Provide education and training on quality metrics and performance improvement processes to medical staff and other stakeholders.
• Performs other job duties as needed.
