Job Description

SUMMARY:

This position will be reviewing our CMMS software PM's, tasks, and electronic inventory. They will be ordering and confirming parts providing timelines on needed items. Working with the stock room and reviving to make sure parts get to the correct location. Keeping inventory on all spare parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintain positive relationships with multiple suppliers as well as oversee purchasing and inventory including finding new/cost savings for parts and services.
  • Create and monitor maintenance part locations/warehouses
  • Establish proper maintenance parts inventory quantities and performing critical cycle counts
  • Train maintenance staff on CMMS and provide backup support to maintenance planner and parts technician positions as needed.
  • Prioritize and assign PMs to ensure completion in a timely manner in accordance to due date.
  • Develop technical SOPs, training documents, and aids for maintenance staff for efficient completion of work orders and PMs
  • Assist with scheduling for equipment projects and repair time for work orders and PMs
  • Create and maintain project timelines and ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Work with internal and external parties as needed for project completion.
  • Follows safe manufacturing and material handling practices.
  • Understands and adheres to UAI 5S manufacturing practices and UAI employee handbook policies.
  • Has the authority to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Must be familiar with metal fabrication concepts and processes.
  • Must have knowledge in maintenance of fabrication and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Basis computer and ERP knowledge for looking up SRO's, P.O. requests, and closing maintenance ticket SRO's
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
  • Ability to apply commonsense and understanding to carry out detailed and written oral instructions.
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist.
