Job Summary:

Responsible for managing the overall operation of our Nursing Service Department in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations to protect our residents, staff and facility from loss and ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. Promote dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, and choice of each resident and promote the philosophy, policies, and protocols of the company. Engage with residents and “empower every person to celebrate life at its best.” Daily demonstrate our values of attitude, integrity, and teamwork.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Nursing degree from an accredited college or university and hold an active/clear Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three years’ experience in long-term care or hospital setting.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Demonstrated leadership ability, possess the ability to make independent, and often critical, decisions when circumstances warrant, able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining excellent service levels. Organized, excellent team member, encourage teamwork among staff, strong communication skills, flexibility, computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet). Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public. Effective at creating and maintaining an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility. Ability to fluently speak, read and write in the English language. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
