Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for completing the in-depth profile of clients' and potential clients' individual, family and business needs and goals; makes appropriate recommendations utilizing investment and insurance products to help clients meet their goals; supervises in the management of investments, retirement plans and customer service requests; partners with branches and other bank lines of business to promote a holistic client experience to achieve their financial and retirement goals.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Profiles customer personal and financial needs and goals; completes a minimum of profiles per year, as directed by management.
  • Recognizes clients' needs and explains types of products to investors.
  • Recommends investment and insurance product solutions to assist customers in achieving their financial goals; activity and production from sales should meet goals established by management.
  • Uncovers, tracks and refers opportunities of traditional banking products and 1st Source lines of business via customer relationship management (CRM) through profiling efforts; referrals should meet goals established by management.
  • Creates referral network through efforts with bank branches and lines of business, client prospecting events and entertainment options with existing clients.
  • Establishes and maintains a working relationship with clients, which includes but is not limited to: leading client meetings; completing client maintenance tasks as necessary; scheduling and completing annual account reviews; completing follow-up items in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Processes, follows up and iDocs all investment paperwork, CRM activities, audit and compliance reports in a timely manner.
  • Attends Wealth Advisory Services and Asset Advisors quarterly meetings as required, as well as bank regional meetings and events.
  • Maintains, acquires and completes annual compliance requirements, including but not limited to: continuing education for licenses and designations; compliance and suitability training; and understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position, and complies with requirements.
  • Must have valid driver's license.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Three (3) or more years experience in a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM tools (preferably SalesForce).
  • Detailed knowledge of investments and insurance products - including suitability, taxation, and rules regarding IRAs.
  • Strong client profiling, sales skills, and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work independently.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS

Investment licensing, including Series 7, Series 66 (or comparable Series 63 and Series 65), Indiana Life and Health, Long Term Care and Partner Plan certification preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel to all customer locations as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
