Job Description
The purpose of this job is to maintain planer machine for quality and production purposes.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $27.69.
Key Activities:
Complete daily checklist as required
Perform daily housekeeping tasks as required
Keep knives jointed
Build and install heads when knives are bad/worn or per scheduled change
Operates tub grinder to grind knives daily
PM and repair planer machine, feed table, and bridge for broken or worn parts
Lube planer machine, feed table, and bridge by using grease guns
Keep up with adjustments to machine for quality and feed purposes
Regularly check lumber for quality purposes
Assist maintenance when needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required
Mechanical Skills required
Ability to get along well with others
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Ability to make decisions quickly
