Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Finance, performs a variety of technical and professional work in directing, administering, and providing oversight of the Drop/Count functions in a supervisor capacity. Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the Casino's daily revenue count of cash and currency, counting of each and submitting associated paperwork during assigned shift. Ensures variances are kept to a minimum. Ensure compliance with Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards, Drop Department policies and procedures, and Casino employment policies and procedures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Makes recommendations to hire, terminate, transfer, provide training opportunities, recommend merit increases, evaluate performance, create and adjust performance standards, create and/or delegate staff scheduling, invoke disciplinary action and provide for the fair and equitable treatment of all Team Members.
- Supervises and directs all Drop Team Members during the drop process of gaming machines and kiosks in accordance with the Drop policies and procedures.
- Supervises and manages all Count Team Members in the sorting, counting, and strapping of contents of all gaming drop boxes including Table Games, Slot and kiosk drop boxes in accordance with the Count policies and procedures.
- Maintains security and accountability of Casino funds located in the Count room during the count of the Slot drop, Table Games drop and kiosk drop.
- Ensures compliance with Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards, Count Department's policies and procedures, and Casino employment policies and procedures.
- Ensures that keys are picked up on time and that the drop and count starts on time.
- Compares information contained in the drop boxes to the data on the computer terminal or counting equipment to the physical count and investigates and resolves discrepancies.
- Responsible for daily reports prior to delivering to Revenue Audit utilizing TMICS directives.
- Responsible for servicing equipment in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the general upkeep of the count room and prepares supply requisitions.
- Performs duties of Count and Drop Team members as needed.
- Prepares a detail shift report after each shift.
- Responds in a timely manner to representatives during internal audits or investigations regarding compliance and revenue issues or questions when requested.

- Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
- Exhibits Leadership skills through the continuous evaluation, guidance and encouragement of Team Members.
- Maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
- Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy.
- Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that arise.
- Greet all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
- Complete all required training satisfactorily.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
- Will work at other properties as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and four to five (4-5) years' experience in all phases of Casino count operations.
- Must have two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year high volume cash handling experience.
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, kneel and reach.
- Must be able to exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using MS Office products or related software, and ability to quickly learn specialized software programs.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must be flexible with shift and days off with ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, special events, etc., as needed.
- You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
