Title: Manager, Production Efficiency

Job Summary:

As the Manager, Production Efficiency, you will be at the helm of managing resources to manufacture all products in a Lean environment, supporting our corporate sales plan. Your role will be pivotal in driving efficiency, quality, and innovation within our production processes.

Here's what you'll do:

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and coordinate the manufacturing and testing of all products in support of the production plan.
  • Oversee budgeting, cost maintenance, capital equipment, and personnel for Manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with QA to establish and maintain GMP/ISO controls for product quality and reliability.
  • Develop and implement facilities requirements for Manufacturing.
  • Lead cost reduction, quality, and process improvement programs.
  • Control in-process inventory to ensure optimal production flow.
  • Cultivate a highly motivated workforce to achieve company objectives efficiently. This includes hiring, training, performance evaluations, development, promotions, disciplinary actions, and oversight of all personnel issues.
  • Oversee the prevention, detection, investigation, and resolution of production problems to ensure schedule adherence and quality targets are met. Collaborate with departments such as Materials, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Documentation, and R&D.

Working Relationships:

  • Reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing.
  • Provides direct supervision to the Manufacturing Team Lead and Manufacturing Associates.
  • Regularly acts as a team or project leader for cross-functional groups.

Financial Impact:

  • The manufactured product has a high annualized sales volume and contributes significantly to company revenue. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals can result in additional costs, personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules, impacting the company significantly in the short term.

Do you qualify?

  • BS degree in Business or degree in another applicable curriculum, preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible manufacturing or materials experience, including supervisory.
  • Inventory Control, EDP systems to include MRP, JIT experience.
  • Must have good analytical skills and excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent personnel and motivational skills.
