Job Description
Job Function: Responsibilities include providing administrative support for assigned Lender(s) as required. Loan administrative duties primarily include interacting with loan administration staff, lending officer(s) and clients by playing a key role in closing new business with an emphasis in loan production and ongoing loan documentation support and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of loan and sales proposals in our loan origination systems.
- Work with loan officers and loan administration to maintain loan files through all phases of the lending process.
- Provide universal support by producing documentation, correspondence, handle client inquiries and assist in problem solving.
- Order appropriate insurance, title commitments, flood certificates & flood insurance, coordinate appraisal orders, validations and evaluations as required.
- Maintain assigned loan portfolio by making collection calls as required and keeping documentation exception count at or below bank standards.
- Performs commercial and consumer loan servicing duties, including but not limited to payments, advances, construction disbursements, payoffs.
- Monitor and process special handling accounts. Assist in the development of new relationships not limited to loans by working through entire new business closing/boarding process.
- Identify and offer products and services to clients. Promote the Bank's services, placing the prospect/client in contact with the appropriate Bank personnel and follow through to determine results.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations in private banking center as needed, such as answering phones, directing traffic, attending to client service needs, and taking messages for loan staff.
- Attends work regularly.
- Ensure the confidentiality of financial information and transactions of banking clients.
- Complete required regulatory self-guided training courses.
- Provides training and support to other loan administrators.
- Willing to accept other tasks as assigned by supervisor or other members of management.
Job Qualifications/ Required Skills and Abilities:
- Associate's degree or higher, in Business, Finance or related field preferred OR equivalent work experience.
- Two or more years preferred as a Commercial Loan Administrator in a financial institution lending department.
- Knowledge of lending policies and procedures is essential.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to exercise/demonstrate good judgement and sound decision making.
- Ability to create and edit documents using "Windows" software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and other applicable software, as well as working knowledge of network data system.
- Exhibit and maintain high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization.
- Innovative, frequently reviews and provides feedback to improve process and procedures.
- Attentive to detail with excellent follow through and time management skills.
- Must possess a positive "can do" customer-service attitude/philosophy that meets and exceeds bank standards.
- The person in this position will have an exceptionally good understanding of other product offerings of the bank that include consumer applications, including Trust, Investments and Mortgage Lending.

- Correspond with attorney's when necessary for attorney prepared documents.
- To perform all job duties and maintain compliance with all banking acts, laws, and regulations applicable to your job function.
- This position includes direct or indirect interaction with clients and other employees and therefore includes responsibilities relating to BSA/AML. The employee may have opportunity to examine and view information and documents produced by other employees of the Bank relating to BSA and therefore has the obligation to report suspicious activity to the BSA Officer as appropriate. The employee is responsible for understanding and following the Bank's BSA/AML policies including elevating suspicious activity to the BSA Officer. Additionally, the employee is required to understand and follow the Bank's compliance program.
