Job Description

Summary of This Role

Manages the on-time delivery of projects through established business requirements using the Agile methodology and Scrum process. Defines and deploys new project development processes and facilitates the continuous improvement of existing processes. Manages ongoing development of the team within the Agile framework and continuous improvement of processes, project/product quality, and quantity of work delivered. Oversees all stages of the project development lifecycle including communications, status reporting, coordination, meeting facilitation and management, workshop sessions, decision management documentation, and presentation and delivery preparation. Tracks and communicates team progress and other development metrics to appropriate team members and management and ensures removal of impediments so delivery teams meet their commitments.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Leads a team of Scrum Masters and other Agile Development facilitators. Develops Scrum Masters (SM) to become better facilitators, coaches leaders. Models the leadership style required by the Agile methodology. Provides technical direction to Scrum Masters and teams.
  • Ensures that Agile development projects and Scrums run in accordance with good practice and achieve the desired outcomes. Acts as an escalation point to address or escalate issues as required. Manages the resource staffing level for both dedicated and shared resources. Mitigates project risks and ensures that work is also meets TSYS and regulatory, compliance and audit requirements.
  • Coaches and trains in the scrum process. Facilitates scrum processes and events and demonstrates shares ideas to improve the facilitation of the agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, PI, planning, etc.) . Looks for improvements that can be made to our current processes and procedures. Supports a continuous improvement mindset. Acts as an advocate of the Agile approach.
  • Maintains and improves the relationship with the client. Works collaboratively, directly or indirectly, with the client in those areas that interface with the company. Provides senior leadership updates and participates in business reviews with the team and client. Engages the client whenever possible to share success stories and to address areas of concern.
  • Establishes and manages the budgets for Agile teams. Seeks and recommends efficiency gains and revenue opportunities. Manage the development, production and communication of project and development metrics.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant Experience or Degree in: related field of study from an accredited university is required; however, relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • Typically a minimum of 8 years
  • related professional experience including a minimum of 3-4 years experience in a supervisory position.
