Brown & Brown is seeking a Benefits Consultant to join our growing team in a hybrid position.

The Benefits Consultant for Small Group is responsible for employee benefits account management responsibilities of a book containing primarily accounts under 100 lives. This includes day to day client contact and assistance with daily service functions. Utilizes technical expertise to retain present clients. Administers marketing and renewal functions.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Sr. Benefit Analyst Essential Duties+

  • Proactive development and execution of client benefit program strategy

  • Ability to lead client meetings, as appropriate

  • Onboarding of new clients

  • Strong product & industry knowledge

  • Development of relationships with vendors

  • Reduced guidance needed from Team Lead on day-to-day tasks & deliverables

  • Ability to guide and provide insight on team tasks, training & onboarding

  • Awareness of opportunities for client revenue enhancement

  • Proficient in compliance, benchmarking, renewal & marketing processes and deliverables

  • Prepare and audit client benefit statements

  • Remain current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages and technology and current market conditions & status of competition.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Insurance Producer license in good standing (authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business)

Skills and Experience to be Successful:

  • Minimum of 4 year degree or equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years employee benefits experience with a thorough understanding and knowledge of employee benefits

  • Strong technical knowledge of the industry of expertise currently being targeted.

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Pay Range

80,000 - 100,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
