As an EP Special Procedures Rad Tech, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.
Job Overview:
Performs interventional, therapeutic, and vascular procedures under the direct supervision of the Cardiologist, or Vascular Surgeon.
Other duties may include but are not limited to:
Performs interventional, therapeutic, and vascular procedures under the direct supervision of the Cardiologist, Vascular Surgeon or Neurointerventionalist
Assists with Structural Heart Procedures, EP device implants, EP Studies, and EP Ablations
Maintains flexibility to cover needs at Midtown and Gateway Campuses.
Regularly assists in the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient/family educational needs so that adequate information is communicated to the patient/family.
Implement safe, competent, and efficient procedure care to EP within the policies, procedures, and standards of care across a variety of populations and complexity of situations within the scope of practice.
Demonstrate expertise in all cardiovascular laboratory technical skills including but not limited to troubleshooting of equipment, expert knowledge of catheters, and specialty equipment used during EP procedures.
Duties for this position include but are not limited to hemodynamic monitoring and recording of patients during EP procedure, circulating, and scrubbing roles for procedures performed in the EP laboratory.
Documentation of chronological events of the procedure and medical care during the procedure.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education:
Degree from an accredited Medical Imaging program
Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist in the state in which you will practice
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist prior to, or within 6 months of hire
Employee must maintain BLS CPR certification for healthcare providers. ACLS is required for technologist. Basic Dysrhythmia course is required.
Must be able to take call shifts with the responsibility of a 30 minute response time.
