POSITION SUMMARY:
Sugarbush Resort is excited to announce the opening a Staff Accountant position within our Finance department! Are you passionate about developing a professional career and leading a mountain lifestyle? If so, this job might be for you. The Staff Accountant will provide accounting and operational support to the Sugarbush Finance team. This employee will develop a broad accounting knowledge base and functional skill set within a range of areas such as resort internal audit, general ledger reconciliation, capital reporting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
The ideal candidate will be willing to adjust task focus and expectations to meet the ever-changing needs of the Finance team. Ability for a flexible work schedule is needed as winter weekend work may be required. Attention to detail, great attitude and proven work ethic are musts. This is a full-time year-round position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete daily point of sale revenue report.
Audit transactions from all resort points of sale: discounts, refunds and products.
Provide accounting and operational support to Finance team, which may include other areas of general ledger accounting, accounts payable, procurement/purchasing, account receivable collections, reporting, and reconciliations.
Assist with reporting and analysis, including capital tracking and reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, required.
A high level of attention to detail necessary to identify, research, and correct errors/oversights in audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
Ability for a flexible work schedule is needed as winter weekend work may be required.
