Responsibilities:

Ensures Operational Performance and Staff Management: Focus on maintaining the reliability and integrity of software applications, including ancillary applications integrated with diverse computer systems. This role involves managing staff effectively to ensure strong customer service orientation and communication skills. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations, addressing issues and enhancement requests for various hospital applications such as Laboratory, Radiology, Workday, and integration into ambulatory clinics. Additionally, the manager is responsible for ensuring that agreed-upon deliverables and timelines are met, which requires excellent project management and vendor management skills. The manager should also have proven experience in personnel management and staff development.

Collaboration with IT Management: Work closely with the Chief Information Officer, Director of Applications, and other IT management to establish stable and secure integrated system solutions. Strong ideation, analytical, and judgment skills are necessary for this role, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Effective written and verbal communication skills are also essential.

Application Implementation and Project Management: Implement applications with consistency, ensuring on time and well-planned project executions. Utilize excellent project management and vendor management skills to ensure agreed-upon deliverables and timelines are met. Facilitates the successful education transition of new application functionality to departments as needed.

Ongoing Maintenance and Support: Provides ongoing maintenance and support for systems, including change control. Ensures that the software applications, including ancillary applications integrated with diverse computer systems, are reliable and functioning correctly . The manager is responsible for evaluating and deploying emergent and new technologies to keep the systems up-to-date and efficient.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent required; a relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in IT management level position in a health care setting.
  • Knowledgeable of application information technologies in health care. Significant experience implementing, integrating and supporting in-house and ancillary applications.
  • Experience with Cerner Millennium systems including PowerChart, PathNet, RadNet, PharmNet, and HUB Laboratory and Radiology integration is desired.
  • Capability to take on additional application and integration management responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives.
  • Excellent project management and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledgeable of hospital operations, tactical planning, project management, personnel management and staff development.
  • Proven experience managing staff.
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills to ensure deliverables and timelines agreed upon are met.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate successful education transition of new application functionality to departments as needed.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ideation, analytical and judgment skills necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$51.89 - $66.16
