About the Team: Our Supply Chain and Logistics team mission is to provide top notch service to our stores and purchasing teams- contributing to the goal to make Grocery Outlet the first choice for bargain minded customers while touching lives for the better. Our team oversees the successful movement of products from our vendors to our stores and is self-motivated, passionate, and dedicated.
About the Role: As a Supply Chain Engineer, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement across our distribution network. You'll work cross-functionally to identify, design, test, and implement operational enhancements in warehousing, logistics, and performance management supporting our distribution network.
This role directly supports our long-term supply chain strategy and includes optimizing existing processes, developing engineered labor standards, and supporting the design and implementation of new distribution centers. This position reports to the Manager, Continuous Improvement.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and manage analytics across WMS, LMS, TMS, and ERP platforms.
- Provide pragmatic reporting to improve service, quality, and cost.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on safety, quality, and ergonomics.
- Maintain and enhance our labor management system and SOPs.
- Participate in design and functional requirements for GOs network of distribution centers.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure WMS & LMS configuration aligns with performance goals.
- Facilitate data-driven communication across key teams (Executive Leadership, Operations, Planning, Logistics, Purchasing).
About the Pay:
- Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 annual

- Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.
About You:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or other related technical field.
1-4 years of experience in distribution operations, including:
Facility layout and process flow optimization
Performance management and labor standards
Supply chain network strategy
Operations management
Knowledge of basic Lean / Six Sigma concepts and continuous improvement tools.
Experience with brownfield and/or greenfield warehouse design.
Proficiency in WMS, LMS, and TMS systems.
AutoCAD experience preferred.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (especially PowerBI).
Excellent communication skills; organized and detail oriented.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
