We are currently seeking a Market President to support our teams in the Southern New Mexico and West Texas Regions. As Market President, you'll be responsible for supporting credit union growth objectives and milestones in collaboration with Member Experience, Business Development, Community Engagement, and other internal departments with respect to this market. You'll ensure alignment and drive team engagement to meet sustainable growth goals in memberships, deposits, community partners, select employer groups, and giving initiatives. You'll serve as the senior leader in the community while fostering relationships, and initiatives providing excellent member service while supporting and influencing alignment of credit union mission, core values, and market expansion opportunities.

What you'll do:

  • Provide partnership and support to market teams and leaders, influencing and promoting our organizational culture by consistently focusing and role modeling leadership behaviors as defined by our values and core competencies.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop staff in partnership with other senior leaders by creating a culture of development, clear and open communication, and accountability by adhering to established protocols and best practices for group and individual meetings, learning opportunities, recognition, coaching, and identifying training opportunities to support growth goals and long-term objectives.

  • Meet sustainable growth goals in memberships, deposits, community partners, (SEGs) and giving initiatives through partnership with senior leadership team members.

  • Foster community relationships and advance Nusenda growth objectives and milestones by collaborating closely with Business Development, Community Engagement.

  • Report to the President/CEO, collaborate with other Senior Leaders, and internal departments to further support Southern New Mexico and West Texas business needs and employees.

  • Monitor branch and service operations as aligned with established goals, policies, procedures, regulatory, and legal requirements, driving excellence in service and consistency.

  • Represent the organization at press/media events, open forums, and serve as the liaison to the Credit Union in the community to promote our organization as a preferred financial institution and workplace.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on program effectiveness, and systems to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and employee/member experience.

  • Participate in the planning and execution of short-term and long-range plans, management, ad hoc committees, and leadership meetings as needed.

  • Travel required within the Southern New Mexico and West Texas region, and to Albuquerque as needed.

What you'll need:

  • Ten to fifteen years of similar or related experience (Senior Leadership Experience Preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, Master's Degree Preferred

Key skills and Experience:

  • Advanced ability to develop and implement effective market strategies supporting operational management.

  • Strong community ties and experience with local economic development.

  • Advanced financial industry, experience preferred. Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.

  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to work with multiple levels of the organization.

  • Strong performance management and leadership skills to provide advisory services to external departments and manage direct reporting staff effectively.

  • Development, performance management, training, and employee counseling skills essential.

  • Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to manage multiple business units and generate both immediate and long-term results.

  • Experienced in MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and all internal systems as affiliated with the department. Effective leadership skills, including the capacity to serve as a role model, and represent the organization in the community to support the achievement of Credit Union goals and objectives.

  • Strategic planning skills and the ability to contribute to the formulation of a long-range vision for the Credit Union.
