Join Our Team as a Tax Accountant!
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for tax compliance and financial accuracy? We're looking for a Tax Accountant to support our tax team with the preparation, research, and filing of various tax returns, while helping ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact across multiple tax areas while collaborating with departments company-wide.
What You'll Do:
Conduct tax research related to sales and use tax across multiple jurisdictions.
Ensure compliance with county and state sales/use tax laws, and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Prepare supporting schedules for state and federal income tax returns.
Lead or assist in preparing filings for unclaimed property, VIT, city returns, and other ad hoc reports.
Review real and personal property tax calculations, payments, and reconciliations.
Reconcile general ledger tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with departments across the company to align tax-related accounting matters.
Assist with maintaining and monitoring SOX controls and documentation.
Manage multiple tax-related projects simultaneously and communicate status to stakeholders.
Follow company policies while supporting our mission, vision, and values.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred).
3-5 years of relevant tax experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations, accounting principles, and internal controls.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
