Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Wound Care Technician to assist with mobile wound care services in patients’ homes, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living centers in Oklahoma. The technician plays a key support role to licensed clinicians by preparing equipment, assisting with wound care procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Assist nurses or providers with wound care procedures, including dressing changes, wound cleansing, and supply setup
- Ensure sterile field and proper infection control measures during all patient encounters
- Maintain and stock wound care supplies, dressing kits, and medical equipment in the mobile unit
- Clean and disinfect instruments and mobile care tools according to protocol
- Transport and set up equipment for wound care treatments at patient locations
- Accurately document supply usage and assist in maintaining inventory records
- Support patient mobility and positioning during treatment, ensuring comfort and safety
- Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, and facility staff
- Follow all HIPAA and safety regulations while on site
- Drive to various patient locations as scheduled
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medication Aid (CMA) required
- Previous experience in wound care, home health, or medical assisting is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different care environments
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and wound care supplies
