Crew Leader - Spun Finishing

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Production Leader for our concrete pole facility in Bay Minette, Alabama. As a leader on the Finishing Team, you'll work with a great group of people who really care about the job they do. You'll follow specific instructions to perform a variety of routine manual labor tasks and will assist other skilled workers in production, process, or maintenance tasks, ensuring that all production is following engineering requirements.

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications. With over sixty years of innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has helped to author and validate many of today's transmission industry standards and specifications.

What you'll do:

• Perform and assist other skilled workers involved in the production of concrete poles including fabrication, demolding, finishing and assembly by a variety of functions such as assembling and placing component parts, sorting, and counting, cleaning, sweeping, storing of tools and other tasks as needed.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, production manuals and work instructions.
• Observe work crew members to assure quality standards and safe work practices are being met.
• Participate in inventories of materials and supplies.
• Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
• Follow and ensure other crew members follow all safety practices, procedures, and protocols.
• Become involved in safety committees or initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, including but not limited to production supervision
• Basic understanding of manufacturing work environment
• The ability to maintain good attendance
• The ability to be a strong leader
