Job Title: Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg & Emergency Room

Location: Johnson City, KS

Shift: 12 hr nights. Take as many shift as you choose

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have Experience in Medical-surgical and Emergency Room (ER) nursing. This role requires a compassionate and adaptable professional who can provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while maintaining flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in both Med-Surg and ER settings.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments per physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and preventive health measures.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA).
• Respond effectively to emergencies, stabilizing patients and assisting in critical care procedures.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for accurate charting and documentation.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment while upholding infection control practices.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license in [State].
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in both Med-Surg and ER nursing (Required).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications 
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (nights), including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center is a plus.
• Certification in Med-Surg (CMSRN) or Emergency Nursing (CEN) is highly desirable.

Job Types: Contract, Per diem

Pay: $48.00 - $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
