QualDerm Partners is thrilled to announce an opening for a Clinical Surgical Coordinator in our Greensboro, NC location (GSO). The Clinical Surgical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating surgical procedures within our practice. This role involves close collaboration with surgical teams, patients, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless scheduling, communication, and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a thorough understanding of clinical workflows, and a commitment to delivering a superior patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring optimal use of resources and efficiency.
  • Scheduling Mohs surgeries from our internal and external referrals
  • Report for NC Cancer Register 
  • Back up for ordering clinical supplies
  • Process Mohs maps
  • Oversee schedules to make sure to fill in any gaps from cancellations, etc
  • Back up for the front desk if someone is out
  • Act as the primary point of contact for patients regarding surgical preparation, post-operative care, and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and compliant with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and facilitate effective communication between patients and surgical teams.
  • Assist in ensuring that the surgical area is adequately stocked with supplies and equipment for procedures.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding surgical procedures and expectations.
  • Monitor and follow up on patient outcomes to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent discipline; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in a surgical or clinical coordinator role, preferably within dermatology or plastic surgery.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical office software.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures is highly desirable.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
