Surgical Technologist Certified

Full Time- 80 hours biweekly

rotating shifts

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, The Surgical Technologist- Certified will demonstrate advanced knowledge and proficient practice. Will have critical thinking skills and be able to anticipate the needs of the patient, and surgeon. Will perform in a team relationship for designated care of the intra-operative patient. Maintains and demonstrates competencies in clinical practice to include age specific competencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program required.

Experience- Clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred. Previous experience as a surgical technologist preferred.

Licensure/Certification- CST required. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient-care concepts. Demonstrates basic surgical case preparation skills.
