Job Description
Join Our Team as a Patient Financial Advocate!
Helping patients, solving problems, and making a real impact every day.
Are you the kind of person who loves solving puzzles, connecting with people, and making someone's day a little better? We're looking for a friendly, detail-loving, multitasking superstar to be the first face (or voice!) our patients interact with when they need help with billing, insurance, or financial assistance.
As a Resource Counselor, you'll be the bridge between patients and the healthcare system-helping them navigate the world of insurance, hospital billing, and financial aid with compassion and clarity.
What You'll Do:
Be a problem solver. Use your brainpower, tools, and systems to figure out what patients need and how we can help.
Communicate like a pro. Whether it's at the front desk, bedside, on the phone, or online-you'll explain benefits, answer questions, and guide patients with patience and empathy.
Handle the details. From gathering info and updating records to making account adjustments and processing financial aid applications-you're the kind of person who dots every "i" and crosses every "t."
Be a team player. Support your coworkers, help train new staff, and jump in when someone needs a hand.
Make an impact. Every patient interaction is a chance to reduce stress, bring clarity, and make the healthcare experience better.
Must-Haves:
High school diploma or GED
At least 6 months of customer service experience
Great communication skills (written+ verbal)
Comfortable using Outlook, Word, and navigating computer systems
Detail-oriented and organized
Able to juggle multiple tasks without dropping the ball
Empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and calm under pressure
Math skills (yes, basic arithmetic counts!)
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):
Know your way around medical lingo? That's a plus!
Experience in Patient Access, Billing, or Financial Counseling = gold star
Excel basics? Even better.
Bilingual? We'd love to have you!
Why You'll Love It Here:
You get to make a difference in real people's lives-every single day.
You'll learn and grow with a supportive, fun, and mission-driven team.
It's never boring. Each patient, each case, each day brings something new.
If you're organized, compassionate, and ready to jump into a role where your people skills and smarts will shine-we'd love to meet you!
