Job Description
The Field Recruiter will recruit, develop, and establish relationships with potential driving students and build relationships with truck driving schools and hiring entities. This position requires 80% travel - mostly throughout the Southeast U.S.
Essential Duties:
Develop and Maintain Relationships with school network.
- Travel to all assigned schools at least once every 3-4 weeks.
Take directors and owners of schools to lunch on occasion.
Follow up with students when they reach out.
Text students after presentations. Send in leads to the Field Recruitment team.
Send pre-hire letters to placement coordinators for students pre-hired by Melton, if necessary (mostly this is done by our Field Recruiting specialist and support staff)
Assist in the development and execution of Melton's student and military program strategy, if necessary.
Routinely attend specific job fairs.
Sit on advisory boards if schools ask (publicly funded schools).
Book travel, air, rental car, hotels.
Order breakfast/lunches as requested by schools.
Take pictures of students/classrooms for our social media team.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
- Experience in transportation recruiting or sales strongly preferred.
- Must have customer service, sales, marketing, or recruiting experience.
- Working knowledge or Microsoft Office.
- Must have the ability to speak clearly and concisely to large groups of people and give marketing style presentations.
- This position requires 80% travel, you must be comfortable flying, staying overnight, and be able to rent a car.
