Summary

Across our beautiful campus at Hoosier Village, the Maintenance Technician performs a variety of unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the buildings and related equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains the facility to keep in good condition during the entire year as directed.
  • Replaces light bulbs and performs all necessary repairs to the building, equipment, and

furnishings.

  • Repairs, cleans, lubricates, and stores equipment, tools, and fixtures
  • Performs preventive maintenance as assigned.
  • Maintains written records and log books as assigned.
  • Performs corrective maintenance as assigned.
  • Performs written work order requisitions as assigned per the guidelines for completing

Hoosier Village work orders.

  • Performs renovation maintenance to include cleaning, patching, scraping, painting, etc.
  • Confers with the maintenance group leader and/or the director of environmental services regarding approaches to specific maintenance or repair problems.
  • Unloads trucks, receives merchandise, and places that merchandise in a neat and orderly manner in assigned storage areas.
  • Picks up supplies and/or equipment, as directed, from various local and out-of-town vendors.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in general maintenance
  • Preferred: plumbing, electrical and HVAC experience and certifications
