Job Description

Role:

The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive digital marketing strategies at Gulf Winds. As part of a cross functional team, this individual will enhance the Credit Union's online presence and implement digital marketing initiatives across channels to effectively engage members and drive growth. The Specialist will be responsible for expanding the use of Gulf Winds' Marketing Automation Platform to improve performance and drive results.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Utilize Gulf Winds’ Marketing Automation platform to design, build and deploy automated
marketing campaigns, including lead nurturing, email marketing and workflow automation.
Manage opt-in and opt-out processes and improvements to ensure list hygiene, data integrity and compliance. Exhibits exceptional critical thinking skills to assess and resolve complex issues.

Contribute to the development and implementation of all digital marketing initiatives including
email marketing, social media, search engine marketing, display advertising, and others.
Collaborate with the Marketing Team and internal stakeholders to ensure integrated marketing
strategies and alignment with organizational goals.

Provide insights, tracking metrics, return on investment, and reporting using tools like Google
Analytics and PowerBi to improve results and provide actionable recommendations. Displays the
ability to independently analyze data and determine appropriate courses of action.

Optimize website content and support pay-per-click advertising to improve search engine
rankings and increase traffic. Work within a Content Management System (CMS) to update and
maintain website content ensuring it aligns with marketing strategies and goals.

Create engaging and relevant digital content, including emails, social media posts, digital ad
copy, and landing pages, to attract and retain members as well as promote products and services.

Seek continuing education in digital marketing and marketing automation. Educate and crosstrain the Marketing Team on advanced techniques and how to use the automation tools.

Performance Measurements:

1. Help achieve the Credit Union’s goals by successfully developing and implementing the appropriate multichannel marketing automation and digital marketing strategies to drive revenue and member growth. Exercises sound judgment in matters of significant impact.

2. Successfully complete all assigned responsibilities within designated timeframe with zero unresolved errors according to established department standards despite deadline pressures. Shows a high level of discretion in handling significant matters.

3. Ensure all forms of communications are accurate, timely and collaborative. Ensure excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail in composing, editing, and proofreading materials. Ensure regulatory compliance.

4. Provide informed, prompt, professional, accurate service and support to all members and associates. Maintain a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Demonstrate a self-starter attitude with ability to take ownership.

5. Report and provide recommendations to leadership regarding marketing automation strategies. Succinctly and clearly summarize and communicate results to optimize future campaigns.

6. Maintain and increase knowledge through professional literature and educational programs that support the Credit Union's vision and mission. Embrace learning and champion change.

7. Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and policies, included but not limited to BSA, OFAC and Physical Security.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the
industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy andtact. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts are important and fostering sound relationships with others is necessary.
Other Skills: The Digital Marketing Specialist must be detail-oriented and organized with excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate should be highly motivated,
independent, creative and energetic. The candidate should possess marketing copywriting
experience and lead generation experience. Strong technical competency and experience
with robust marketing automation tools such as HubSpot is also critical and required.
Certifications are preferred. Demonstrated ability to analyze campaign effectiveness and
develop metrics and reports. Working knowledge of HTML. Understanding of UX.
Understanding of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and CMS systems. Knowledge
of CAN-SPAM rules. - Normally expected to work between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. but
may be required to work nights and/or weekends. Must adhere to safety rules and
regulations.
