OES Equipment, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is a fast-paced supply and rental equipment company in the construction industry. We are seeking a motivated Regional Buyer to join our Procurement team and support our various Mega Projects. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for placing all stocked designated purchases for assigned region.

  • Daily review of the inventory valuation report for designated items.

  • Ensuring product turns at high rate of speed, or mobilize to a faster-selling branch location to ensure turns are met.

  • Ensure MDPAs and buying contracts are leveraged appropriately.

  • Ensure use of preferred vendors.

  • Includes transfers from the Centralized Distribution Center, based on branch needs.

  • Responsible to meet with branches regularly to ensure full understanding on upcoming needs/forecasts to ensure no stockouts.

  • Responsible for reviewing Non-stock PO reporting for assigned region multiple times per week.

  • Discuss trends with branch teams for NS orders.

  • Determine items to bring into inventory from NS orders.

  • Ensure branches are following the Procurement best practices as defined for stocked inventory.

  • Receiving, Cycle Counts, promotional product, etc.

  • Purchase reviews for WC/HD/Amazon buys for stocked product with branch:

  • Discussions of why we purchased from those vendors rather than pulled from stock or leveraged preferred suppliers.

  • Maintain branch usual vendor data for assigned region.

  • Maintain branch sale price data for assigned region.

  • Work with branch sales & inventory management to continuously improve sell-price data for assigned region.

  • Participate in Procurement Team Meetings.

  • Responsible for supporting in-region branch transfers as necessary.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and well organized.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

  • Positive interpersonal skills with a "can-do" attitude.

  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.

  • 3-6 years of experience in a purchasing, buying, or inventory management role.

  • Specific experience in procurement within the construction or construction supply chain sector.

  • Proficiency in Inventory and Supply Chain Tools, such as ERP systems, inventory management software, or procurement platforms.

  • Familiarity with inventory reports, purchase orders, cycle counts, and price data management.

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills - for data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management functions.

  • This can include the use of VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other data-manipulation techniques to track and optimize inventory.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Occasional travel.
