Job Description

Brookridge, a ThriveMore of NC Community located in Winston Salem, NC is seeking a qualified full-time maintenance tech to join our team. This individual will work within the policies and job responsibilities of the maintenance department, help clean, maintain and repair the physical facilities, equipment and grounds of the Brookridge Retirement Community. JOB QUALIFICATIONS/DUTIES:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of tools and machinery.
  • Experience in maintenance work is required.
  • Must be able to use the English language to satisfy the communications and record keeping requirements involved in the performance of this job position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must comply with facility's drug testing and substance abuse program and policies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Ability to complete assignments related to daily work orders and responsible for signing off when completed.
  • Capable of completing work related to general maintenance/ housekeeping requirements associated with inside and outdoor assignments.
  • Responsible for reporting to work in times of bad weather.
  • Responsible for picking up and returning keys to security desk each day.
  • Able to operate maintenance/housekeeping vehicles.
  • Show ability to interact effectively with staff and residents associated with Brookridge Retirement Community.
  • Assist with repair and routine checks on general plumbing and cleaning up as it applies to direct patient/resident rooms.
  • Responsible for maintaining and keeping in proper working order general maintenance tools and individual tool belt as well as janitorial closets and equipment kept therein.
  • Basic knowledge of general appliances, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lockout tag out and the ability to follow all maintenance guidelines

Schedule:

  • Full-Time 
  • Shift Time: 8am-5pm
  • Rotation On-call weekends required
