Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of Our Promise each and every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
  • Direct supervision of assigned staff including hiring, supervision and a high emphasis on employee development, ranging from growth within current positions and expanding leadership and supervisory skills necessary to ensure agency success.
  • Meets regularly with staff to develop and maintain a consistent approach to supporting and expanding the development of personal, practical, leadership skills and professional development of participants.
  • Participates in the Nurturing Parenting Facilitator Training and assists in the planning and implementation of the program and curriculum for referred parents.
  • Develops and maintains a service relationship with DCFS stakeholders.
  • Performs related administrative responsibilities; maintains client information, reports, records, and other documents; responds timely to emails and phone calls; attends various trainings and meetings; communicates with other agencies, departments, and vendors regarding required paperwork, contract compliance and consults with other county agencies and/or supportive services as necessary.
  • Supports the completion of funder requirements and program assessments.
  • Organizes and maintains written documentation for participants, employers, and educational institutions in case notes to ensure they are complete, current, accurate and disseminate according to program and department requirements.
  • Ensures the utilization and implementation of the curriculum/model as required by the program and to fidelity.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of client or collateral interaction within Agency defined standards.
  • Participates in staff training, supervisory and staff meetings.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote an inclusive work environment, and present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

Education & Experience:

  • Must have a high school diploma with 3 years of mental health or related experience, an Associate's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field with 1 year of mental health or related experience. A Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience could include, but is not limited to, one or more of the following:
  • Service/treatment planning, care coordination, and/or referral and linkage for healthcare, behavioral healthcare, or non-healthcare services
  • Intervention using evidence-based techniques
  • Identification of strategies or treatment options
  • Restoration of social skills and daily functioning
  • Crisis prevention and amelioration
  • Establishment of trust and rapport, active listening, empathy and goal-setting
  • Social, spiritual, educational, and/or other supportive, relational activities
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance

Qualifications:

  • Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment
  • Flexible; able to work days, evenings, and/or weekends, as desired to meet the needs of clients
  • Strong organizational skills; able to handle multiple priorities with strict attention to detail and perform work independently.
  • Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required.
  • Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc.
  • Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes as necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs.
  • Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test.
