About Us

SBA Home North Carolina - The first production facility in the USA by SBA Group, a furniture manufacturer from EU member in Lithuania, with operations starting in late 2025. Over 250 talented professionals will work here and build their careers. It will be a highly robotic and automated factory with products reaching millions of homes in the US. Today we are looking for a Safety Manager to lead and strengthen our health and safety programs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, compliant, and proactive workplace by implementing and managing OSHA standards, conducting regular training and audits, and fostering a strong safety culture across the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, trainings, and reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Train employees on proper use of equipment, PPE, emergency procedures, and safety practices.
  • Coordinate safety committees and facilitate regular meetings with warehouse and production teams.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials (HazMat) in line with regulations.
  • Monitor warehouse operations and recommend engineering or administrative controls to improve safety.
  • Collaborate with HR and operations teams on return-to-work programs and workers’ compensation cases.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting occupational health and safety.
  • Promote a culture of continuous safety improvement across all shifts and departments.

We believe you:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of safety management experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; CSP, ASP, or similar credential is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations.
  • Experience with safety management systems (SMS), incident tracking, and reporting tools.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and training skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a hands-on approach.
  • The ability to perform functions in a safe manner at all times.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening and background check.
