Job Description

A quick summary about the role:

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily tasks associated with the retail warehouse-including product order check-in, organization of merchandise, physical inventory checks, and system inventory management. They will assist in overseeing the merchandising, set up, warehousing, and restocking of retail locations at the Kia Center, as well as managing the flow of inventory received for the Retail Operations team.

What the role will do:

  • Manage over $5,000,000 worth of inventory received at the Kia Center for the Retail Operations department working within established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for checking-in team products by conducting physical counts of inventory received to identify discrepancies against packing slips and enter the confirmed quantity levels into OpSuite.
  • Assist with retail inventory billing by submitting product PO receiver to Director ensuring payment is made for received goods only.
  • Control the process to interview, select, train, and manage the RPT Retail Staff on all things related to inventory management, distributions, merchandising, and replenishment.
  • Create an overall organizational system for the multiple retail storage areas around the Kia Center and determine work techniques for managing all team inventory.
  • Ensure inventory is effectively merchandised and distributed to all retail locations throughout the arena as required by department, category, brand, and/or activation.
  • Manage a team of regular part-time supervisors and ensure their workloads are balanced between warehouse assistance and store replenishments/merchandising
  • Ensure all retail inventory is pre-ticketed and scans at the correct item and price.
  • Conduct physical inventory annually, along with periodic category physical inventory throughout the season.
  • Maintain an annual shrinkage of no more than 1%.
  • Assist in the creative development of unique product(s) and advise the team on select buys with vendors as needed
  • Support the Sr. Manager Retail Sales & Buying with identifying potential product reorders throughout the season.
  • Serve as the manager on duty (MOD) for Orlando Magic and Solar Bear game nights along with other FT Retail staff, as business needs require.
  • Assure protection of company assets while adhering to loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Maintain superior knowledge of the entire product line.

What the role needs to have:

  • 3-4 years of inventory management experience required.
  • Point of Sale (POS) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience utilizing a back-end retail inventory management system is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to work select Orlando Magic home games, which include nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required.
