About the role:

The Senior Claims Business Analyst partners with NAM Claims, NAM Claims Operations, and other functional areas to lead initiatives with diverse scope and addressing complex business problems. It is critical for the Business Analyst to understand the challenges stakeholders experience on an ongoing basis, including their business processes and general work environment. The Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for extensive business analysis support including, but not limited to in-depth data and system analysis, business requirements, process mapping, communication to stakeholders, and the ability to identify inefficiencies with business processes, gather data to support analysis, and formulate solutions to optimize and improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic functional decisions for complex projects.
  • Facilitate the complex process of understanding business needs, developing application solution ideas that can meet those needs, and brokering the final scope of solutions to be delivered to the business/end-user.
  • Identify and communicate risks & issues, and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications.
  • Develop expertise in the functionality, operation, and integration points of the Claims systems.
  • Work with NAM Claim Business Partners to create business requirements which may include process flows for functional improvements and enhancements.
  • Perform stakeholder analysis and documenting impacts/gap analysis of proposed changes, including high-level communications and training needs.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to support and track business strategy around growth and cost containment.
  • Optimize use of Global Professional Services Partners, while monitoring SLA's and quality.
  • Partner with Compliance, Audit, Claims, and IT providing direction and support for SOX and SOC1 testing findings, questions, etc. as well as the remediation of system-related audit findings and improvement opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • 3+ years business analysis experience with process improvement initiatives, data analysis, requirement gathering, and process mapping.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to guide process improvement projects.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills to communicate effectively with all levels across the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities while delivering timely & measurable results.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in advanced statistical methods and tools to analyze data and identify root causes of problems.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build formal and informal relationships and networks within and across organizational boundaries.
  • Process driven, forward thinker with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Ability to lead and motivate other in a virtual and remote team management environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Program management skills to drive teams and initiatives is a plus.
