Job Description
GRO, a full-service digital marketing and creative agency with offices in Detroit, Nashville, and Tuscaloosa, is seeking a SEO Strategist to join our Michigan team.
GRO is looking for a smart, ambitious, and analytical SEO Strategist to perform and manage SEO campaigns for our clients. The candidate should be organized, self-motivated, proactive, and articulate.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and manage SEO campaigns using various SEO tools, such as SEranking, Screaming Frog, AHRefs, Moz, SEMrush, etc.
- Collaborate with client-facing teams on SEO research, campaign creation, and optimization efforts
- Optimize live websites through the WordPress backend using various builders, such as Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, etc.
- Be present on client calls where technical expertise is necessary
- Ensure proper tracking and attribution using Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, etc.
- Monitor and report the performance of campaigns, identifying optimization opportunities and providing recommendations for improvements
- Effectively implement search engine optimizations throughout the month and communicate optimizations to relevant members of the GRO team
- Enthusiastically work to improve skills and maintain an awareness of industry changes and relevant news
Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in creating and effectively managing and implementing SEO campaigns. Must have hands-on experience making changes on the backend of multiple content management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Must be able to independently manage workload to ensure all optimizations are performed each month
- Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and various SEO tools
- Problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt to new technologies and find solutions to problems identified within the scope of your work
- The desire to research and test new optimization within the growing organic search landscape
- Able to multi-task and prioritize—must work well under pressure
- Demonstrated grasp of leveraging KPIs to interpret results and make data-based decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of SEO experience
- 2+ years of Google Tag Manager based event tracking
- 2+ years of Google Analytics experience (interpreting and acting on analytics data)
- Advanced knowledge of the SEO landscape
- Strong writing, editing, and proofing skills
- Knowledge of PPC preferred
Intermediate experience of HTML and Javascript implementation in a CMS
