Job Description:
Provides coordination and leadership in assessment and programming for a diverse student population aged three through five years of age. Is a member of the ECE Leadership team providing professional development, mentoring, and direct feedback to staff around evidence based and developmentally appropriate instructional practices in early childhood education. Develops and promotes good community relations among staff, families and students.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree, required. Early Childhood Education.
Master's Degree- Early Childhood Education.
Credential, authorization or endorsement in:
Early Childhood Education
Special Education or an SSP license, or related field Teaching license.
Administrative credential -either Principal or District-level Administrator's license
Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain effective communications and partnership among community, faculty, and administration.
Participates in ongoing professional development regarding Early Childhood and leadership competencies and engage in routine reflective practices.
Lead human resources activities related to general education and special education staff; Hires/directs/mentors/evaluates/disciplines/terminates.
Collaborate with building and District teams and administrators in oversight and process facilitation of individual student programs/plans, which may include special education (IEP), Section 504, Gifts and Talents (GT), Dual Language Learner (DLL), Colorado Preschool Program (CPP) at multiple schools or District level.
Models professional relationships with all stakeholders, demonstrates the highest level of personal and professional integrity and takes responsibility for all decisions affecting their department.
Collaborate with and empower staff to maintain inclusive psychologically and physically safe, accessible and well maintained environments for students and staff.
Operational leader for District monitoring local, state and federal mandates and initiatives relating to general education and special education, including collaborating with local and state agencies regarding regulations, trends and mandates in the field of Early Childhood such as Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSG) for Results Matter Accountability and Colorado Preschool Program (CPP) or Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP), Douglas County Early Childhood Council (DCECC), etc.
Monitor classroom level budgets in accordance with department based budge (DBB).
Support staff to implement and maintain quality early childhood environments, developmentally appropriate practices and instructional delivery for general education and special education students.
Work collaboratively with all DCSD personnel regarding student/family needs, programming and instruction.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Design and assist in delivery of staff development training for employees responsible for assessment of and instructional delivery to children aged three to five years of age.
Leader intentionally creates a culture of continuous improvement through authentic, actionable feedback that is personalized to meet the diverse needs of the staff, in alignment with the department plan.

$108,099.86 USD Annual
Full Salary Range:
$87,792.74 USD - $128,406.98 USD Annual
- All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
