Compliance Specialist II, Real Estate
The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You'll Be Doing
Supports the development and maintenance of comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to Credit Union operational requirements, laws, and regulations. Assists business units with regulatory and operational compliance by reviewing forms, disclosures, communications, advertisements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures. This position is not responsible for BSA compliance.
- Monitors and interprets regulatory changes, evaluates their impact, and provides recommendations to ensure compliance. Makes recommendations to support the business units with implementation through training, procedural updates, and form revisions.
- Identifies compliance risks, recommends solutions, and supports corrective actions to maintain adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Reviews and provides input on loan agreements, disclosures, marketing materials, advertisements, and communications to ensure compliance.
- Conducts legal and regulatory research to support management and respond to inquiries received from Credit Union Management, teammembers, and government agencies. Act as a resource for questions regarding regulatory issues.
- Assists with managing the compliance monitoring and testing calendar, ensuring timely reviews and reporting findings to management.
- Supports regulatory examinations and audits by coordinating documentation and responses.
- Contributes to the development and enhancement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with compliance requirements.
- Recommends and reviews training programs to enhance teammember awareness and understanding of compliance policies. Updates and disseminates information on relevant laws and regulations.
- Supports compliance training and guidance to teammembers and business units to promote regulatory awareness.
- Assesses risk potential of current procedures and recommends process improvements to minimize compliance risks and loss exposure.

- Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
3-5 years of prior relevant experience required Previous experience with credit union and/or financial institution preferred
America's Credit Unions Certified Credit Union Compliance Officer (CUCO) or NAFCU's Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) designation(s) preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of federal and state consumer protection and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Analytical skills
- Communication skills, including intermediate-level writing, and ability to present complex materials
- Legal research ability using the internet and available resources
