Assistant Track Inspector - Westlake, LA

R.J. Corman Switching Company is seeking an Assistant Track Inspector. This individual will assist in the inspection of track and properly maintain/upkeep all records in compliance with FRA mandates.

Job Duties:

• Assist in the daily, weekly, and monthly inspection of track.
• Identify areas requiring repair or maintenance.
• Build and maintain effective customer relationships.
• Complete/maintain all required documentation per FRA mandate.
• Schedule inspections for track utilizing industries.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Prefer a background in construction; railroad experience a plus
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
• Mathematical and writing skills
• A valid commercial drivers license is a plus
