Staff Accountant

In this role the number cruncher will be honing their skills as a professional by learning how financial accounting works through the nuts and bolts of an organization.

Key Job Duties

• Booking income (donor tracking if applicable)
• Booking expenses
• Reconciling bank accounts
• Approving check requests in the Finch App
• Ensuring expenses are working properly in the Finch App
• Managing bookkeeping tasks as they come in via email
• Respond to all emails within a 24 hr period
• Reviewing books for accuracy and proper accounting rules
• Responding to basic client inquiries only with approval of Senior / Manager
• Raising issues as they are noticed
• Alerting the senior / manager to tasks requiring significant amounts of time
• Entering their time on a daily basis (totaling 8 hrs for full time accountants)

Good candidates for this job include those who want a slightly less traditional accounting role and enjoy a fully remote work flexibility arrangement as the entire job can be conducted in the comforts of your home. An understanding and knowledge of church/non-profit accounting is also desired but not required.

Pay: $75,302.00 - $107,886.00 per year
