Maintenance Mechanic

All Things Metal is located in North Phoenix near Deer Valley Airport. We are an industry leader in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection in Arizona. We are seeking an eager maintenance mechanic technician to join our team! If you're looking for a long-term place of employment with growth potential, keep reading. We're looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude, who is willing and excited to learn. This position might be perfect for someone fresh out of trade school. We are also open to experienced maintenance mechanics also.

Job Duties:

Primary Role

Maintain and repair fleet and equipment including but not limited to forklifts, small engines, and other needs

Diagnose mechanical issues and find solutions to fix them

Work with Lead Mechanic scheduling repairs to minimize downtime

Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brakes services

Conduct test drives to check repairs

Perform inspections as needed

Organize and keep work area clean

Secondary Role

Assist with projects as needed in the maintenance department to include but not limited to electrical, plumbing, building.

Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Ability to pass background check and drug screen

Valid Drivers License

2 years experience or recent completion of a technical school

Ability to work outside in the heat

Ability to stand most of the shift

Ability to lift over 50 lbs.

Be able to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, and execute these tasks while maintaining positive interpersonal interactions.

Willingness to learn

Reliable transportation to arrive to the job on time.

Have a basic understanding of electrical, building, and mechanical principles.

Able to sort out priority of tasks and execute them in most efficient manner to optimize productivity.

Able to work in both an office and production environment.

Have a mechanical mindset or proficiently use hand and power tools

Basic computer skills
