Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
Camp Simulator Technical Support:
Daily inspections of USSRC equipment to maintain effective and efficient operation, safety, and appearance. Equipment includes but is not limited to:
Technical Hydraulic
Mechanical/Mechanics Pneumatic
Audio / Visual Computer Peripherals
Robotics
Repair/Modification of Computer Hardware, Software, and Networking. IT skills.
Ensure the accurate and timely completion of USSRC leadership requests.
Completion of documentation related to job activities.
Camp Simulation Design:
Systematically develop, design, fabricate, inspect, install, and repair USSRC equipment and simulators to maintain effective and efficient operation, safety, and appearance. Equipment includes but is not limited to:
Technical Hydraulic
Mechanical/Mechanics Pneumatic
Audio / Visual Computer Peripherals
Robotics
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Travel Required: Local
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of a 2-year technical degree in electronics (Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar degree). Software programming languages and other job-related technical/mechanical experience will be considered as well.
Required Experience
- Experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electronics, computers and mechanical devices. You must have the ability to use the tools, equipment, and materials for this job profession effectively and safely.

Physical Requirements
- Walking and climbing (stairs, ladders) to access work-related areas.
- Pushing, carrying, and lifting equipment to 50lbs waist high.
- Bending, kneeling, and reaching to maintain and repair simulators and exhibits.
- Sight, reading, wrist movements, feeling to inspect, maintain and repair simulators and exhibits, to operate tools of the trade.
- Talking, hearing to communicate with employees, guests and contractors regarding simulators and exhibits.
- Driving skills to operate equipment such as forklifts, man lifts and carts.
- Comfortable working at heights of up to 50ft.

Environmental Factors
- This position involves working indoors in a climate-controlled building environment, as well as working in the elements of the outdoors. Work areas are subject to dust, noise and to the hazards related to the profession.

- You must be willing to work very flexible hours. We support Space Camp Operations.
